In the module *Grid Systems / Grundlagen Mengentext*, we explored one of the most famous Swiss railway lines — the Bernina Railway. In this publication, I focused on the glaciers along this iconic route.
The guide to the railway lines takes readers on a journey through the fascinating Swiss Alps — not only through breathtaking natural landscapes, but also through the immediate effects of climate change. The melting glaciers, which once wrapped the Alps in a shimmering world of ice, are profoundly transforming the landscape — and with it, the railways that traverse this region.
Using a grid system conceptually designed around this theme, I attempted to visualize the development of both the glaciers and the railway.
